Nicki Minaj’s brother considering plea bargain after charged with raping a 12-year-old girl
The brother of Nicki Minaj has been granted four more days to consider a plea deal in the case against him of raping a 12-year-old girl repeatedly.
Jelani Maraj has been offered the deal in which he could face 15 years to life, which is better than the life behind bars he could face if convicted by a jury. He was offered this plea deal last month.
It was on Thursday that he signed an adjournment in Long Island that gives him until Monday to decide whether or not to take the plea deal.

Maraj allegedly raped the 12-year-old victim several times between April and November, and this was a girl to whom “he had access,” according to sources.
He was arraigned in the hospital on December 4 on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct against a child after being arrested two days previously. Just after his arrest, he suffered a medical ailment that required he be arraigned at Nassau University Medical Center.
It was Nicki Minaj who posted his $100,000 bond, which she secured with two homes she owns in the area.
A week after being released, he was seen in public for the first time for a preliminary hearing on the charges against him.
