Metta World Peace says he was “inappropriately” touched by a ghost at haunted hotel

Metta World Peace recently visited a reportedly haunted hotel in Oklahoma when the Lakers were there to play the Thunder, and while he was there, he said he was “inappropriately” touched by a ghost, KFOR reported.

The hotel, Skirvin Hotel, is 105 years old and has recently drawn attention as Thunder opponents have claimed to have trouble sleeping in the hotel because of a ghost named “Effie.”

According to legend, Effie became pregnant after an affair with the hotel owner and was locked away on the 10th floor, becoming so depressed after the child was born that she threw herself and her newborn child from the window. Now, she reportedly plays pranks on people who stay in the hotel by opening and closing drawers and whispering to them.

While many Lakers players didn’t want to chance staying in the haunted hotel, forward Metta World Peace stayed the night, and he is now saying he did have an encounter with the other side.

“The ghosts were all over me. I just accepted it,” he said. “They touched me all over the place. I’m taking one of the ghosts to court for touching me in the wrong places.”

He said that he was trying to joke around about it, but he was absolutely serious about his allegations.
