A woman who has been accused of killing her son-in-law admitted to police that she planned his murder over the course of two weeks before carrying it out.
Prosecutors told the jurors at the trial on Thursday that Cynthia Cdebaca shot Geoward Eustaquio dead on February 11, 2014. They then played the video in which she admits to the killing.
She stated to detectives that she had purchased a gun and that she was fighting with Eustaquio on the morning of his death.

“I got dressed and he said, ‘you can’t go like that.’ He told me ‘you look ghetto,’” she said during video testimony. She says she was mad because he told her that she could not attend her granddaughter’s spelling bee.
“I shot him 10 times then he went inside the house and locked the door,” stated Cdebaca. That’s when she shot through the door, entered the house and fired the last shots as she stood over him.
“Did you shoot till it was empty?” a detective asked Cdebaca.
“Yes, until it was empty,” she replied.
According to Cdebaca, the family had endured 13 years of abuse by Eustaquio.
“So mean to me, to all of them. Yes he is,” she said. “They were afraid of him, yes. So mean to my daughter. I told her 13 years ago, he’s evil.”
When asked for details about the abuse they suffered, no details were provided.
During the recorded interview, Cdebaca can be seen celebrating the death of Eustaquio, and she showed no remorse for her crime.
“Did you check on him after you shot him?” a detective asked.
“I didn’t care,” replied Cdebaca. “I would do it again.”
In the video, the family can be seen to say goodbye to Cdebaca before she is led off to jail. When she asks her youngest granddaughter for a hug, the little girl says, “No, you killed my dad.”
