Cardi B claimed that she was put in a chokehold by the NYPD on Tuesday night.

According to the hip-hop star, she was pinned against her Bentley SUV, though neither she nor the NYPD has offered an explanation as to why.

Her boyfriend, Offset, of Migos fame, has since spoken out to TMZ about the incident, recalling how Cardi told him about it after the fact. He seemed especially baffled by the fact that the police put their hands on her and not the man she was with.

“I don’t know what happened, but I know you can’t stop the police,” Offset said. “The police kill people every day and get away with it.”
