Gorgeous pictures emerge from Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s wedding
Serena William’s gown and wedding took the cake and then some and we finally have the pictures to prove it.
The tennis champ married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in a wedding dress that encapsulated her love of fashion. The photos of her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen princess gown were first shared with Vogue.
“I flew to London to meet with Sarah and ended up falling in love with the ball gown silhouette, which is completely the opposite of what I ever thought I would choose for myself,” the bride said of her wedding gown and cape.
“I loved the idea of doing a really spectacular ball gown, and it has turned out to be such an incredibly special piece,” she stated.

Burton is well known in the fashion industry having also designed Kate Middleton’s dress. She’s also the designer of choice for Anna Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer and the gowns she wears to the Met Galas.
It wasn’t just William’s dress that made a splash, she wore jewelry by XIV Karats that was worth a whopping $3.5 million.
The groom looked his part to perfection as well in an Armani suit.
The bridesmaids were all wearing custom Galia Lahav dresses in a creamy golden yellow hue.
“She talked to all of us and just kind of let us have creative control as to what dress fit our personality. And then she approved it, of course!” Serena’s best friend, Val Vogt, gushed.
The happy couple was wed in an intimate ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana. Guests included Kris Jenner, Jay Z and Beyonce, Prince Harry’s girlfriend and actress Meghan Markle and LaLa Anthony.
Williams didn’t stop at just one killer dress either, she changed into another one for the reception. It was a strapless white Versace that had lace and feathers on the bodice.
“They worked nonstop to make sure the tiniest details were perfectly taken care of, for a total of 1,500 hours,” designer Donatella Versace explained of the reception dress.
