Even on Thanksgiving Day, Donald Trump can’t help but cause havoc on Twitter.
The president of the United States caused outrage Thursday morning when he tweeted a strange response to an article essentially calling him racist.
–Trump slams LaVar Ball as ‘poor man’s Don King without hair’–
In a column for the Washington Post, blogger Greg Sargent wrote that Trump’s recent beef with ex-NBA player LaVar Ball, the father of a UCLA basketball player arrested in China, points to his pattern of stoking fear and intimidation against minorities.
Trump, who apparently had better things to do than enjoy Turkey Day with family like most Americans, decided to tweet a reply to Sargent’s article with: “Make America Great Again.”
The simple yet telling tweet caused rage online, suggesting that the POTUS is quite unbothered by opinions that he is a racist.
In case anyone is still somehow wondering what Trump’s “Make America Great Again” is code for, he’s just explained it in a tweeted reply. It’s black and white, people. pic.twitter.com/8MdGcZ9rDl
