It’s official: the NBA has announced that LeBron James and Steph Curry are the team captains for the All-Star game this year.

James and Curry won the most votes for the Eastern and Western conferences, respectively. Now, it’s time for them to pick their teams.

While Curry and James will be able to pick players from either conference for their dream teams, they have to choose four eligible starters from the pool in their conference, according to SI.com.

Who will be on the dream teams?

For the Western conference, Curry will be able to choose four of these players: James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors, and Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins of the New Orleans Pelicans.

And James will be able to choose four of these players from the Eastern conference: Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics, DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.

These starters are the cream of the crop of this year’s vote, with 50 percent of that vote coming from the fans, 25 percent from players, and 25 percent from the media. Once the votes all came in, players were sorted by their position and then ranked as starters or reserves. The best two guards and the best three front court players earned the right to be starters. This is also the second consecutive year that players and members of the media participated in the vote.

We’ll be interested to see who makes it onto the teams and how they stack up against each other. It looks like Curry and James have plenty of good names to pick from, and that always makes for an exciting game.

The All-Star game will take place in Los Angeles, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 8 p.m. EST.
