Boxer Adrien Broner has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual battery after allegedly groping a woman at a shopping mall.

The former four-weight world champion was picked up on Monday after a woman accused him of “inappropriately” groping her. The 28-year-old from Cincinnati has denied the allegations against him.

Adrien “The Problem” Broner was booked at Fulton County Jail the same day and was scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday.

Video released of the altercation shows him arguing with a woman as they are surrounded by a small group of people. At several points in the video a man wearing a flannel shirt is seen holding her back.

Broner was also restrained by witnesses, one who could be seen following him out of the mall where he was arrested. The moment of the arrest is not captured on video though he was seen being led from the mall in handcuffs.

A statement from a police spokesman read, “On February 12, 2018 Atlanta Police Units were dispatched to 3393 Peachtree Road in reference to a sexual battery. Upon arrival, units spoke with the victim who advised that she had been inappropriately groped by a male later identified as Mr. Adrien Broner.

“Mr. Broner denied the accusations and after being interviewed was charged with Misdemeanor Sexual Battery and transported to Fulton County Jail without incident,” the statement went on. “At this time there is no additional information to provide regarding this case.”

This does not constitute the first time the former boxer has run into trouble with the law. In 2016, he was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly choking a waitress in Las Vegas.

Last year, he was arrested for missing a scheduled court appearance connected to a 2014 disorderly conduct and public intoxication arrest. It was during that arrest that police saw his SUV had multiple bullet holes around its exterior.

Also, in 2017, Adrien Broner was caught on video knocking a man out and shoving a woman in Las Vegas. Just moments before this altercation he was calmly signing autographs and taking photos with fans by the MGM hotel.

He shoved the woman as she tried to calm him after he had hit the man.
