LaVar Ball is up to his old tricks again!
Love him or hate him— Lavar Ball is always up to something and in the news. And this time, his antics could cost him more than his reputation with LeBron James.
During a press conference in Lithuania last week, Ball was asked about his biggest wish— for all three of the Balls to play on the same National Basketball Association team. The boastful Ball reportedly answered that his dream will come true as soon as 2020.

Well, 2020 is an interesting year, sports fans and reporters soon came to realize. That is the same year that his eldest son, Lonzo Ball, will be up for resigning with his current NBA team, the Los Angeles Lakers. Ball says that if the Lakers decide not to choose all three of his boys, then Lonzo will be walking as a free agent and will find another team who will take all three brothers.
“Lonzo will be on his third year and I want to let every NBA team know that Lonzo is not going to resign with the Lakers, but will go to any team, that will take all of my three boys,” he said according to sports writer, Donata Urbonas. “We don’t have to go [in] any draft. Just sign him in free agency. You don’t have to give Gelo $15M. Give [him] a million for three years, we’ll take it. Because they make so much money off the court, they lose spare change.”
The other Ball brothers
LiAngelo, 19, and LaMelo, 16, are currently professional basketball players for the Lithuanian Basketball League. This development came after the LiAngelo and two fellow UCLA teammates were accused of theft and detained while visiting China for a game. After getting into a war of words with President Donald Trump via Twitter LaVar pulled LiAngelo from UCLA due to a suspension that left him with an uncertain future.

Lavar Ball then pulled LaMelo out of high school and took them both oversees to get them ready for the NBA draft. However, there are still obstacles in the way. For one, critics say LiAngelo’s NBA stock has fallen after his theft incident and it’s also rumored that nearly no recruiters are even considering him as a viable contender for the NBA draft.
“Ex-UCLA freshman LiAngelo Ball has no chance that he’ll be drafted in June,” wrote ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter. “And that was true before his shoplifting incident in China. ‘He’s not on any of our scouting lists — even the extended lists,’ one GM told ESPN.”
But if sports fans know one thing about LaVar Ball it’s that the man never gives up on his dreams.
