CASTING NEWS: Tiffany Haddish will try her hand at drama in new flick

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Tiffany Haddish is clearly planning to live her best life in 2018 and her latest gig will allow her to flex a new set of acting muscles.

The comedienne has reportedly signed on to star opposite Melissa McCarthy in The Kitchen, an upcoming crime thriller from New Line Cinema and DC Entertainment.

The film is based on a 2014 comic book series and will mark the directorial debut of Straight Outta Compton writer, Andrea Berloff, who will also pen the script.

The Kitchen is a classic mob story that takes place in 1970s Hell’s Kitchen and follows a group of Irish mobsters who are sent to prison, prompting their wives to take over the organized crime operation and who become more ruthless and vicious than their gangster husbands ever were.

If our wildest wishes come true, The Kitchen won’t be the last buddy flick Haddish will star in.

Perhaps it’s time for Tiffany Haddish and Beyoncé to star in their own buddy flick together. If what the Girls Trip comedian says is true, the two celebs already have a great chemistry that should probably be captured on the big screen.

Earlier this year, Haddish shared a funny story about how Beyoncé helped her fix her wig and played peace maker to prevent Haddish from getting into a physical fight with another party guest. That was the origin story behind the adorable picture of Beyoncé peaking from behind Haddish’s hair. Apparently B agreed to take the pic in exchange for Haddish not cracking somebody’s skull.

Haddish recently revealed that an actress she didn’t name was chatting with the Jay-Z at the same party and made the mistake of touching Hov’s chest.

According to Haddish, Beyoncé sauntered right over to the trio none too pleased. “Beyoncé came walking up like ‘Biiiiiiiiitch!’ She ain’t say that, but her demeanor and her body language and the way she walked up on her was like ‘Get your hand off my man’s chest,’” recounts Haddish in a TVOne Uncensored clip.

Haddish claims Beyoncé had a little talk with the other actress and that “some other stuff” happened that Haddish isn’t ready to share just yet. Whenever Haddish is ready to give up the goods, we’ll be all ears because if nothing else we know it’ll be an entertaining story.
