Florida Legislature Rejects Assault Weapons Ban

Legislators in Florida rejected an assault weapons ban as survivors of the Parkland high school shooting sat stunned in the state capitol’s gallery. The shooter in that deadly scenario used an assault weapon to kill 17 people in a matter of minutes. The vote in the Republican heavy state legislature was 36-71.”It seemed almost heartless how they immediately pushed the button to say no,” said one student to CNN.

Bae Michael B. Jordan is breaking some hearts after a flirtatious tweet with Black Panther’s Lupita Nyong’o that seemed to indicate the two were a little more than co-stars. “@Lupita_Nyongo Bring them chocolate cakes back,” he wrote Feb. 19. “You ready for round 2? #YouKnowYouWantThis.” Nyong’o fired back with her own “come hither” verbiage, but Jordan also made sure to set the record straight that the two are just co-workers, not lovers.
