Juelz Santana flees Newark Airport after TSA finds his gun

Just like that, rapper Juelz Santana has left the building. He fled the Newark Airport after he was busted trying to get a gun through security on Friday according to police sources.

The rapper, whose real name is LaRon Louis James took off quick when the Transportation Security Administration agents saw the weapon at about 6 pm, said Port Authority officials. It was a loaded .38-caliber handgun.

Santana is 36-years-old and one part of the rap group The Diplomats. Sources say he may have gotten into a cab while fleeing the scene. He was born in New York City but now lives in New Jersey.

He is best known for his feature on the rapper Cam’ron’s hit “Hey Ma” as well as his own personal top ten single “There It Go (The Whistle Song).”

This is not Juelz Santana’s first run-in with the law, he was arrested back in 2011 for marijuana, a couple of loaded handguns along with ammunition at his Bergenfield, New Jersey music studio.

Port Authority Police Department detectives were still searching for the Love and Hip-Hop: New York star at press time.

UPDATE: “PAPD detectives have been searching for him,” reported New York CW affiliate WPIXSunday. “Police from Totowa, New Jersey said they were told the rapper will be turning himself in Sunday morning.”
