Why Black teen admitted to Ivy League schools wants apology from Fox News
Fox News has got some explaining to do.
USA Today reports that the Trump-supporting network called a brilliant black boy “obnoxious” for applying – and getting accepted – to 20 top colleges, and now, Micheal Brown wants an apology for the insult.
His academic excellence was apparently insulting to the white news anchors Holly Morris and contributor Sarah Fraser, who called his decision to apply to so many schools “ridiculous” in an April 3 segment.
“It’s a little ridiculous that this kid applied to 20 taking away a spot and basically waitlisting another kid,” Fraser said on the show.
“I think it’s a little obnoxious because you can only go to one,” Morris said. “You can only take one full ride and you are taking a spot from someone else who worked really hard.”

Brown interviewed with Morris but refuses to approve airing it unless Fox News issues an apology.
“Where’s the #humandecency?” he tweeted.
Instead of apologizing Morris simply said, “I didn’t mean to offend you.” Brown’s mother Berthinia Rutledge-Brown told USA Today that the backhanded apology is not good enough. She said she was hurt by the apology and numb from the nonsense.
Fraser on the other hand admits that she did apologize saying:
“I have apologized to Micheal and he accepted my apology,” Fraser said on Twitter. “Micheal’s accomplishments aren’t up for debate. I have learned a valuable lesson.”

The 17-year-old is winning big time after getting 20 college admittance letters to the best universities in the US, reports KTLA.com.
The Houston teen also doesn’t have to pay a dime after receiving full-ride scholarships to every school, and an extra $260,000 in additional scholarship offers. It’s an extraordinary feat the scholar worked long and hard for.

Brown is a busy senior at Houston’s Mirabeau B. Lamar High School. He’s participated on the debate team, mock trial and student government. He might have an interest walking in the footsteps of former President Barack Obama since he wants to major in political science. He even once wrote an essay about a pivotal moment that had him in awe titled: “the moment I saw Barack Obama get elected.”
Brown’s got much work to as he looks forward to visiting the campus of his top eight Ivy League selections: Harvard, Princeton, Northwestern, Yale, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, Georgetown and Vanderbilt.
