A white man wearing a white supremacist tee on a college campus faces gun charges after his shirt caught attention.
Police investigated further and found that Jakub Zak was in possession of five semi-automatic guns and after proping deeper into a tip, found that the 19-year-old had a strong interest in Patriot Front a white supremacist group, reports the Chicago Tribune.
According to Kim Christenson, spokesman for the Vernon Hills police department, Zak was seen on the campus of College of Lake County with clothing that promoted the Patriot Front, a racial hate group.

Racist dogma
“Patriot Front is a white supremacist group whose members maintain that their ancestors conquered America and bequeathed it solely to them,” according to a post on the Anti-Defamation League’s website.
The Patriot Front is reportedly based in Texas. Recently in Atlanta, the neo-nazi group tried to spread fear by leaving offensive flyers inside of plastic bags all around one of Atlanta’s most progressive neighborhoods known for its diversity.
Zak has been charged with possessing five semi-automatic guns without a valid Firearms Owners Identification (FOID) card.
Zak’s home was searched and police found five semi-automatic weapons, four boxes of firearm ammunition, empty firearm magazines and several miscellaneous firearm parts, Christenson said.
A gun case and gun safe was also found during the April 12 search.
According to the school, Zak is a registered student but won’t be on campus pending the outcome of the investigation, said Anne O’Connell, spokesperson for College of Lake County.
Police are also investigating whether Zak’s guns are linked to any other crimes but haven’t found a connection so far. The guns have been sent to a crime lab.
