Many black activists and influencers have been weighing in on protests at the border between Gaza and Israel, which have turned deadly for Palestinians. According to CNN, Israeli forces killed at least 60 and injured 2700 people. All of this is happening as the U.S opened its new Embassy in Jerusalem.
Lolade Siyonbola –the Black Yale student who had the police called on her
by a white woman because she fell asleep in the school’s common area– is speaking out on the incident. She revealed she posted the confrontation because she feared for her life.

And Nashville Waffle House hero, James Shaw Jr., finally received a call from president Donald Trump. According to White House deputy press secretary, Trump called James Shaw Jr. to “commend his heroic actions and quick thinking.”
