Online activists had time today to lay a digital smackdown to Aaron Schlossberg, the white lawyer whose racist rant at a New York restaurant has gone viral.
While patronizing Fresh Kitchen in Manhattan’s midtown area, Schlossberg overheard workers talking to customers in Spanish and that set him on a war path. a fellow customer filmed Schlossberg’s rant on a camera phone.
“My guess is they’re not documented,” he said to a Fresh Kitchen manager. “So my next call is to ICE to have each one of them kicked out of my country! If they have the balls to come here and live off my money, I pay for their welfare. I pay for their ability to be here. The least they can do … is speak English.”
Who this this bigot in Midtown Manhattan? What’s his name?

Schlossberg seems to think that only undocumented immigrants on public assistance speak Spanish. He was so bothered by the mere fact that the workers spoke Spanish, he threatened to call immigration authorities. And because Schlossberg is such a class act, he also insulted a woman’s weight before storming out the restaurant.
After the shocking footage went viral, even New York City’s mayor Bill deBlasio weighed in on the racist drivel.
“New York City’s diversity is our strength. It’s what makes this city great. The 8.6 million people who call this city home speak more than 200 languages – they’re all New Yorkers and they’re all welcome here,” wrote the mayor.

But just commenting on the absurdity of the clip wasn’t enough for some people. One Twitter user did a little sleuthing and released Schlossberg’s name and career information to the public.
A lot of people are sharing this video. I shared it earlier and got a phone call from someone in my circle who went to law school with him. Aaron M. Schlossberg. Here’s his website: https://t.co/jjj8Hdfrni All systems go! https://t.co/qThzWOIedX
