BET Awards performers include Nicki Minaj, Migos, Janelle Monae and more
Music fans are in for a treat but we're hoping SZA gets better by then.
BET has announced its awesome lineup of performers who will grace the stage at the BET Awards in June and it looks like we’re in for a major musical treat.
Jamie Foxx will hostile show that will feature live performances from some of the music industry’s biggest names including Nicki Minaj, Janelle Moane, Migos, H.E.R. and Ella Mai.
The show will honor the cream the crop in music, television, film and sports with DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar leading the pack of contenders with five nominations each.
Migos and SZA nabbed four nods, but the R&B singer’s recent health issues may prevent her from her slated headlining concert at Staples Center during BET Experience.
Last week, TDE revealed that she was skipping several shows on the “Championship Tour” on account of her swollen vocal chords.
She retweeted the announcement and explained her situation on Instagram.

“For anyone who hasn’t seen this . I’ve been touring for 11 months. This didn’t happen overnight . Ive been troubleshooting for a while now and Usually steroids and pushing through help. SZA has had a hard time taking time off and apologized for letting fans down.

Now, SZA has revealed that her pipes are permanently damaged and expressed her frustration in a series of now deleted tweets.
“Tonight was the test . That settles that.” she posted. “I jus wanna be left alone my priorities are fucked up . They been fucked up . I need space goodbye .”
No word on whether or not the damage to her vocal chords will keep SZA from her big show at BET Experience. Let’s hope she gets better before then.
The BET Awards will go down on June 24 in Los Angeles.
