After resigning and going through the motions of feeling insecure about her curly hair, she decided to turn lemons into lemonade and start her own business– DAO– alongside her husband Will Marshall.
It’s is a plant-based hair company, that promotes embracing your natural hair for all ethnicities and hair types. The product line is nicknamed the “Divine 7” and it features a cleanser, conditioner, moisturizing spray, repair oil, and gel.
DAO products recently won the new voices pitch competition during essence festival and received fifteen thousand dollars.
