Sean Spicer threatens legal action after he is accused of hurling n-word in high school

Sean Spicer was confronted at a book signing in Rhode Island by a Black man who claimed the former White House Press Secretary called him a racial slur while the two were high school classmates, according to The Hill. Now, Spicer is threatening legal action against the Associated Press for reporting on the incident.

“The claim is a lie. Absent an immediate retraction, Mr. Spicer will take legal action Monday,” Spicer’s attorney Michael Bowe said in a statement Saturday night.
The AP, along with other news organizations, documented the incident at Spicer’s book signing in Middletown, Rhode Island, on Friday during which a Black Massachusetts man, claiming to be a former classmate, accused Spicer of hurling a racial slur at him while they were teenagers.
Alex Lombard approached him and, according to USA Today, claimed Spicer dropped the slur on him before a boxing match. A Facebook Live video from the Newport Daily News clearly shows the confrontation.
Lombard even challenged Spicer to fight him before being escorted away by a security guard.
“I was 14. I was a scared kid then, Sean,” Lombard said. “I’m not scared to fight you now.”
