The seeming never-ending saga of the weird that is Kanye West continues.
On Thursday night, it appeared that we might have gotten a brief moment of clarity from him when he seemed confused or stunned when asked by comedian Jimmy Kimmel if he believed Donald Trump cares about Black people.

Kimmel asked Kanye the question in connection to his infamous 2005 moment when he declared that “George Bush does not care about Black people” during a telethon for Hurricane Katrina. West was asked the same of Trump (the correct answer is No) and instead of offering up an answer, West stared off into space.
Kimmel, seeing West struggling to come up with a response, sent the show to commercial to give Kanye time to come up with something. When they returned, he never answered the question.
Well. After a couple of days, West popped up on Twitter and in a series of tweets, rambled on about the moment on the show and claimed that he in fact was NOT stumped by the question.
He simply didn’t get a chance to answer.
” Let me clarify the click bait,” West, who seemingly does not quite understanding the meaning of “click bait,” said on Saturday. “I wasn’t stumped. The question was so important I took time to think.
“And then I was hit with the let’s go to commercial break,” he continued. He later rambled on about being “bullied” by the Black community for his support of Trump.

“Everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me, and then told me every time I said I liked Trump that I couldn’t say it out loud or my career would be over, I’d get kicked out (of) the black community,” he said. “Because blacks, we’re supposed to have a monolithic thought: We can only be Democrats.”
Again, it’s not that Black people have to be Democrats. It’s more about Trump’s long history of racism, misogyny, and xenophobia that is what has made this so ridiculous.
By the way, West says now that he refuses to answer the question that Kimmel posed to him. It makes you wonder whether Kanye really cares about Black people himself.
