The spasm of gun violence claimed the lives of at least four teens, according to reports.
On Sunday, a 17-year-old boy was found dead behind a residence just after 6 p.m. Shot Spotter technology alerted police to the shooting.
Earlier in the day, a 19-year-old was killed after a vehicle rolled up and shot him in the head as he leaned against a car and talked to an acquaintance.
A little before midnight, police uncovered the bodies of two teens in a Far South Side field who suffered fatal gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead on the scene. And, a 33-year-old man was shot sitting in his car on Sunday.
On Saturday, 26-year-old Matthew Hudson was found on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his back.

Recently thousands of anti-gun violence protesters crammed onto the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago and shut it down, carrying signs and chanting “Stop the killing” to protest the city’s gun violence epidemic and demand change.
But the death toll continues to rise.

At least 17 people were injured in shootings throughout the city Saturday and another 18 were hurt on Sunday, authorities said.
The weekend before last was one of the deadliest weekends in Chicago. Police also had made their first arrest after 12 died and 66 were injured in an increase of gun violence, according to CBS News.
Police attributed the bloody weekend mostly to gangs as officers charged Rick Franklin, 27, of the 2900 block of West Warren Boulevard, Chicago, with three felony weapons charges in connection to the shootings, the report says.
A City Under Fire
As tensions rise in the city, the family of 15-year-old Steven Rosenthal is outraged and lined the streets of Chicago in protest calling for justice after Chicago police allege that he shot himself after a brief chase. But Rosenthal’s family and friends do not believe his death was by suicide, the Chicago Tribune reports.
At least 120 marched and shut down traffic lanes from Johnson School of Excellence at 1420 S. Albany Ave. to Mount Sinai Hospital. They held a vigil for the teen and shouted “No justice, no peace,” or “Let us see Steve,” on Sunday, as they contested the police account of what happened to the teen.
Also, at issue, protestors have called for Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson and Mayor Rahm Emanuel, to step down for their handling of racial incidents in communities of color.
