Artist and Love and Hip-Hop star, Amara La Negra, is all about her artistry, but she is no stranger to the beef that is created in the entertainment industry. During the “pink carpet” for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, Amara La Negra shared her thoughts on feuds created between female rappers like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
“Unfortunately, the truth is that people like the drama,” says Amara. “They say women should support each other, they should leave the beef but the moment they [start beefing], the ratings go up and the sales go up.”
“So it’s like you guys don’t like it, but you participate…you love it,” she adds. “As long as it’s done without any bad intentions, then it’s fine. I get it, it’s music… it’s entertainment.”
Amara also touched on the recent backlash she received from her Instagram post stating a man’s house is a reflection of his woman.
“I wasn’t mad if they are mad, that’s on them,” she says. “At the end of the day, people need to understand that I come from a different culture. I come from a different background, I was raised differently and not everybody has to agree.”

I may not have the “American mentality” but I still feel that you should be intelligent, well educated, learn how to cook, clean, and wash. It doesn’t make you any less of a woman or a maid.”
“If you’re willing to “open it,” you should be willing to wash a little dish. It’s not that big of a deal.”
