VIDEO: Rapper Safaree says he’s ignoring social media trolls and finding ways to live his best life

Rapper Safaree is grateful for all the opportunities he has been granted and told theGrio why at the 2018 VMA MTV awards live at NYC’S Radio City Music Hall.

Love & Hip Hop star and rapper, Safaree, was back in his city for the 2018 VMA MTV awards, LIVE at NYC’S Radio City Music Hall. Despite the recent events of shady tweets and online drama that took place between him and his former girlfriend, rapper Nicki Minaj, Safaree appeared unbothered by the drama and the critics.

“I’ve never been stressed about anything on social media,” Safaree tells theGrio. “I feel like the only thing I’ve been stressed about is real life situations [like] when I lost my uncle.”

“I’m not going to lie, sometimes mentally [social media] can mess with you,” he continues. “[You feel] down but then when you look at the kind of people who are trying to bring you down, and their not happy with themselves. It just makes me feel better about myself.”

Safaree says a lot of things weren’t supposed to work in his favor, but luckily they did and he’s grateful. He allegedly has been offered a book deal and an endorsement for a hair club for men.

“I put out good energy, it’s karma just coming back to me,” says the rapper. “That’s why the nonsense, it doesn’t stick because I put out good energy. I’m a good person in real life.”

It’s a Thin Line Between Love and Hate

The Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star recently took to social media to slam his ex-girlfriend, Nicki Minaj  for some past transgressions including cutting him with a knife during a fight and he decided to go ahead and air out all their dirty laundry.

Safaree accuses Nicki Minaj of holding onto old emotions before claiming she cut him with a knife during a heated argument. He insists he had to tell authorities he cut himself to avoid Nicki going to jail.

Safaree attends the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall on August 20, 2018 in New York City.

“We know each other inside out. Everything there was for us. I didn’t use your card for prostitutes. We both didn’t trust each other. You did shit I did shit. You said you were messing with meek a few years b4 y’all got together and I’m not mad at that,” he posted.

“Remember the night you cut me and i almost died the police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher and I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn’t take you to jail. When things like that start happening more Than once it’s time to dip,” he added.

“Towards the end it got toxic and I just packed up and left. I did things for spite and so did you. I don’t wish you bad and I don’t want us back together just like I’m sure you don’t. I don’t need you you don’t need me but we will always be linked in the public no matter what.”
