Brooklyn witches host event to hex Justice Brett Kavanaugh while GOP group spends over $100K supporting him

According to Time, a group of Brooklyn-based witches are organizing an event to put a hex on Kavanaugh at Catland Books in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Although the gathering, which will be taking place on Oct. 20, is focused on putting a curse on Kavanaugh, the event will also “all rapists and the patriarchy.”

“[Brett Kavanaugh] will be the focal point, but by no means the only target, so bring your rage and all of the axes you’ve got to grind,” the store’s invite reads. “The event will embrace the powers of witchcraft to bring justice “to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him.”
“We wanted to have an act of resistance,” the event’s organizer Dakota Bracciale explained to Time. “It’s about having space for survivors of sexual assault who are not going to be silent and who don’t want Brett Kavanaugh to serve as a symbol of defeat.”
Women on the flip side
While liberals are conjuring up karmic retribution, according to the Washington Post, conservative group Judicial Crisis Network just spent six figures on a TV commercial thanking Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) for her pivotal vote supporting Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
“In the midst of the chaos one leader stood out,” the clip says. “She did the right thing, supporting him. Thanks Susan Collins, for being a reasonable voice in Washington.”
On its website, the group describes themselves as follows: “Our commitment is to the Constitution and the Founders’ vision of a nation of limited government; dedicated to the rule of law; with a fair and impartial judiciary. Every American deserves equal justice under law.”
Even though the group wouldn’t officially confirm how much the ad cost, they did admit to The Post that the price tag exceeded $100,000.

Judicial Crisis Network also invested over $5 million into its pro-Kavanaugh campaign and spent another $1.5 million in an ad blitz after Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexual assault while they both were in high school.

Many have pointed out that the commercial and donor support of JCN is ironic considering that when Collins announced she was supporting Kavanaugh, she condemned liberal groups for allegedly spending “an unprecedented amount of dark money opposing this nomination.”
“Senator Collins is against dark money — period,” a Collins spokesperson told The Hill Saturday, in response to the pushback.
“It makes no difference whether it’s used by interest groups to praise her or criticize her. In Maine, we saw nearly double the amount of ads opposing Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination as we saw ads supporting him — that’s what she made reference to in her speech from the Senate floor.”
