According to The Root Bryan Lenertz decided to post pics dressed as Kanye West by painting his face brown, throwing on a MAGA hat, shades and a camouflage coat to complete the look. To complete his look, Lenertz’s wife reportedly dressed as West’s wife Kim Kardashian.

A source revealed to the Root that Lenertz is an executive of Anderson Brothers Bank.

But it’s likely Lenertz won’t be fired, the source said adding “these people keep/get jobs.”

“I wonder if [Lenertz] ever denied a loan to a person of color,” the source said.

Lenertz friends took time on social media to praise him for his costume. Others however, are taking aim at the bank for still having this employee still on the books.

Blackface keeps happening

Just last week, Today host Megyn Kelly learned the hard way that her racist frame of thought was problem after NBC fired her from her day job.

“But what is racist?” Kelly asked on Oct. 23, during a panel made up of white people.

“You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween.”

Employees of a South Carolina salon got themselves in a hairy situation when they posted a picture on social media dressed as the many faces of Michael Jackson with one person in posing in blackface.

And Keysha Holmes, the owner of Holmes Hair Studio, was hit with backlash after she shared on her Facebook page on Oct. 25, a picture of her employees dressed as Jackson during various moments in the musical legend’s life. There was the Thriller MJ, complete with the infamous zombie look, then another employee dressed as the Billie Jean Jackson with the glitter glove and hat that made his ensemble magical. But one white employee posed as Jackson in his youth—the Jackson Five Michael with an afro wig and brown face, painted on with make-up, Yahoo reports.

Holmes admits that she was clueless about the offensive nature of the costume saying that she didn’t know blackface was “a thing.”
