Roughly 100 fans trampled over security and bolted through the door of rapper Gunna’s album-release party, according to news reports.

The Atlanta rapper’s sophomore album has been widely anticipated in hip hop circles.

“There was a line around the block, and all of a sudden people just bum-rushed the door,” a source, who was at Thursday’s launch of the rapper’s Drip or Drown 2 album release party at Lightbox in midtown Manhattan told Page Six. “It was right when he started playing the album. Security got plowed down. Probably 20 people” got inside amid the chaos, the source said.

The rapper was relieved that no one was injured, according to his rep. The video can be seen here.

“No one was hurt, thank goodness. By the time that happened, we were three songs in, and we weren’t letting anyone in, but a fan managed to find a way and so did other people,” the rep said.

Gunna took to Instagram to share info on the melee, writing “This is What happen at my NY Experience. I LOVE my DIEHARDS. #DOD2 Soon soon.”

The rapper, who is releasing his second album on Young Thug’s YSL Records, held his album listening party inside a gigantic aquarium, as he had promised, but also notified his tight fan base that he was holding a second launch party in midtown NYC, where the melee took place. Gunna fans burst through the doors at the Lightbox venue as soon as the doors opened, according to XXL Magazine.
