Lamar Odom hates that Khloé Kardashian is going through pain and wants to reach out to her
Throughout the drama that is facing his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian as she recovers from Tristan Thompson’s alleged affair with a close family friend, Jordyn Woods, a source close to Lamar Odom told PEOPLE magazine that his heart goes out to her.
“Lamar has always cared about Khloé, he still has love for her and he hates that she’s been hurt again,” a source tells PEOPLE. “He has a lot of regret over how he acted in their marriage. And he feels awful that she is going through more pain. He wants to reach out to her and give her his love and support,” the source added.
Kardashian, 34, and Odom, 39, got married in 2009 and were officially divorced in 2016. Since their split, Kardashian has supported the former Los Angeles Lakers player — most notably when Odom suffered a near-fatal overdose in October 2015.

“That was big,” Odom previously said of waking up to Kardashian by his side at the hospital when he was interviewed by Kevin Hart for his sports-focused interview series, Cold as Balls.
Though Odom and Kardashian didn’t reconcile, Odom showed support of Kardashian’s relationship with Thompson, 27, and their baby daughter True.
“To tell you the truth, it couldn’t happen to a better person,” Odom told Access last February. “I was really happy for her,” he continued. “If she could take care of a grown man for four years the way she took care of me, I know she could take care of a baby.”
When videos leaked last year of Thompson cheating on Kardashian within days before she gave birth to True, Odom expressed similar sentiments of support and love.
“Lamar feels terrible for Khloe. He wasn’t sure if he should reach out and see how she’s doing. He feels for her,” a source close to Odom told PEOPLE at the time.
On Tuesday, TMZ and Hollywood Unlocked confirmed that Kardashian and Thompson have split following the latest allegations that he cheated with Woods, 21, who was best friends with Kylie Jenner and even lived in her house.

Kardashian had reportedly become leery of Thompson since last year’s scandal. But the Revenge Body star was attempting to make things work because of True.
“Since True was born, things never really went back to normal with Tristan and Khloé,” a source told PEOPLE Friday. “She was deeply hurt by him and basically kept him at arm’s length. One of the only reasons she was still seeing him was because of True.”
“The fact that her family is breaking apart is a nightmare for her, but it’s been a long time coming,” the source adds to PEOPLE.
“They’ve been living separate lives. She can’t trust Tristan, and she’s known that for a long time. She’s been focused on her daughter and creating a loving healthy home for her. She doesn’t deserve this and she knows it.”
Since news of the alleged affair broke, Woods has moved out of Jenner’s house and back in with her mom, according to news reports.
“Jordyn has been trying to reach out to Khloé and Kylie everyone else in the family to apologize,” a different source told PEOPLE. “She wants to apologize and make everything right.”
