Singer Macy Gray feels bamboozled by her talent agent and is suing after she ended up being $500,000 in the hole following her 2017 tour.

Gray says International Creative Management (ICM) lured her into touring Europe claiming it would be a cash cow, earning her upwards of $500,000. She says even when she didn’t want to leave her sick daughter, The Blast reports.

ICM which handled her bookings, convinced her to do it saying it would be worth financially.

Gray maintains that her daughter was truly sick and she didn’t want to do the tour but ICM pressed her with promises and even said they would cut their commission from 20% to 10% if she didn’t make the $500,000 threshold.

But once the tour commenced in 2017, ICM didn’t come up with the $500,000 they had promised, and she had already paid out $40,000 in travel costs for her band members.

Gray said she completed her tour only to find that she was in the red, owing money which included an unpaid bill to her tour bus company.

She says her agent wasn’t forthcoming and ICM tried to extort money from her saying that if she extended their deal for another year, they would release her funds.

Grays says she was “absolutely floored” that she was being extorted. She claims to have been under “serious emotional and financial duress.”

In the suit, Gray says she experienced, “extreme anxiety, panic attacks, humiliation, embarrassment, emotional distress, sleeplessness, and discomfort.”

Gray is upset that she loss critical time with her ailing daughter and is suing for fraud and demanding unspecified damages.

Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t care about losing money over his Trump rants

It’s a sad state of affairs for Macy Gray who has lost a boatload of money because of a bad business deal. But one thing’s for sure when it comes to Samuel L. Jackson, he doesn’t care one bit about losing any money over his anti-Trump rants.

The Hollywood icon has long been publicly vocal about his disdain for America’s 45th president, and in his latest profanity-laced interview last week with Esquire, the successful 70-year-old actor didn’t hold back.

“This motherf–ker is like ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy shit,” he said. “And the people think that’s okay. It’s not f–king okay. And if you’re not saying anything, then you’re complicit. And I wouldn’t give a f–k if I was a garbageman and I had a Twitter account; I’d tweet that sh-t out. I’m not thinking about who I am and what my job is when I do that sh-t.”

But when asked if he’s worried about losing fans over his left-leaning views, Jackson raged: “I know how many motherf–kers hate me,” he fumed. “‘I’m never going to see a Sam Jackson movie again.’ F-ck I care? If you never went to another movie I did in my life, I’m not going to lose any money. I already cashed that check. F–k you. Burn up my videotapes. I don’t give a f–k.”

If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
