Boxer Adrien Broner is off the hook after his misdemeanor sexual battery charges were dropped TMZ reports.

Last February, Broner was arrested and charged for allegedly groping a woman at a shopping mall in Atlanta. On Sunday, the charges were reportedly dropped because of lack of evidence in the case.

The former four-weight world champion has denied any wrongdoing.

There was a video released of the altercation showing him arguing with a woman as they are surrounded by a small group of people. At several points in the video, a man wearing a flannel shirt is seen holding her back.

Broner was also restrained by witnesses, one who could be seen following him out of the mall where he was arrested. The moment of the arrest was not captured on video though he was seen being led from the mall in handcuffs.

After the incident, Broner’s camp released this statement.

“Mr. Broner denied the accusations and after being interviewed was charged with Misdemeanor Sexual Battery and transported to Fulton County Jail without incident,” the statement went on. “At this time there is no additional information to provide regarding this case.”

Apparently, there’s not enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that Broner committed the act.

This does not constitute the first time the former boxer has run into trouble with the law. In 2016, he was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly choking a waitress in Las Vegas.

Last year, he was arrested for missing a scheduled court appearance connected to a 2014 disorderly conduct and public intoxication arrest. It was during that arrest that police saw his SUV had multiple bullet holes around its exterior.

Also, in 2017, Broner was caught on video knocking a man out and shoving a woman in Las Vegas. Just moments before this altercation he was calmly signing autographs and taking photos with fans by the MGM hotel. He shoved the woman as she tried to calm him after he had hit the man.

There is still a case pending against Broner and resulting from a June 2018 case involving him forcing himself on a woman in a Cleveland club.

He was arrested and charged for felony gross sexual imposition and abduction and pleaded not guilty but the case is still pending so his troubles may be far from over.
