After months of speculation, it’s official. Tiffany Haddish has confirmed that she is in a committed relationship with Common.

“I am in a relationship,” the comedian confessed during an interview on the “Wild Ride! With Steve-O” podcast that was recorded on July 30.

“I met Common when I was filming my movie The Kitchen, he was in it. He was, I guess, kind of like my love interest. I made out with him in the movie and we became friends but it wasn’t anything sexual … because my eyes were set on something else.”

This revelation comes nearly four months after the unlikely duo went on a virtual date at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic when they were teamed up for a virtual dating campaign for the app Bumble in April.

“I got on Bumble, like, May of last year,” Haddish said, recalling how that date came about.

“Then Bumble approached me about doing something and I had been talking to Common, he’d come and play Spades with me and my friends. I mentioned it to him … and at this point our friendship was getting a little more than friendship, but not quite.”

A month earlier, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson seemingly spilled the beans on their romance in the comments section of a post that Haddish made wishing the rapper a happy 48th birthday.

“Happy Birthday to My Friend @common !!!” the Girl’s Trip star wrote at the time.  “I Love that you are willing to go on @groupon adventures with me. #paintandpour plus food.”

In the comment heard all around Instagram, Mama Knowles responded, “beautiful couple,” leading fans to believe that she’d unintentionally outted them as more than friends

The romance rumors were further ignited two months later when the 40-year-old confirmed she was quarantined with the rapper while appearing on an Instagram Live with friends Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.

Now that the relationship is official, Haddish can barely contain her happiness.

“This is hands down the best relationship I’ve ever been in. Knock on wood! I’ve lost 20 pounds since I’ve been in this relationship. I feel more confident in me and it’s not him that’s doing it,” she shared.

“I’m just way happier and it’s like knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways. And I love it. I love him.”
