Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion gift $1 million via #WAPParty
The female rappers are donating to their fans as a 'thank you' for the success of 'WAP'
Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B aren’t just sitting on their No. 1 hit song, “WAP,” they’re continuing to build the fandom by donating $1 million to fans.
Cardi and Megan’s upbeat women empowerment anthem debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart last week. The female emcees are celebrating this victory by giving the grand sum to 2,000 women via Twitter and Cash App, the pair announced on Wednesday.

“To celebrate and honor the inspirational conversation that’s been happening in response to the song, Meg and Cardi will be giving back to women in a big way, starting today,” an official statement read.
To be eligible, fans have to tweet #WAPParty with their $Cashtag. The women who follow these instructions are entered into a chance at being one of the randomly chosen winners who will receive $500. The charity event ends on Thursday, Aug. 20.
With the release of their sexually charged lyrics and powerhouse visual, Cardi and Megan became the second all-female collaboration to debut at No. 1 and the first two Black women to break this glass ceiling! The song’s release has challenged people to talk more about sexuality and deconstructing gender norms, The Grio reports.
Both rappers introduced the WAP charity event with personalized messages asking participants to share how they could benefit from the donation.

Recipients of the $500 donation have already begun to celebrate on social media.
