Trump coughs as he tells Fox News he’s healthy, ready for rallies
Trump told Sean Hannity he plans to host a rally 'probably in Florida' and another in Pennsylvania.
President Donald Trump called in to do an interview with Sean Hannity Thursday night and declared that he is healthy and ready to hold rallies.
The president is still recovering from his battle with coronavirus. He was released earlier this week after spending three days at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
During his interview, the president had difficulty speaking and stifled a cough as the sound cut out, leading to a pause of several seconds.
Trump’s voice sounded hoarse as he talked about microphone problems during debates against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.
It has been one week since the White House announced that Trump had contracted the virus, along with First Lady Melania Trump. At least a dozen other White House staffers have also contracted COVID-19.

During the Hannity interview, Trump said that he was doing “great.” He didn’t answer questions about when was the last time he was tested for COVID-19 and ultimately said he would “probably” be tested today.
“The test will be tomorrow — the actual test because there’s no need to test all the time,” he told Hannity.

Trump told the Fox News host that he plans to host a rally this weekend “probably in Florida” and another one in Pennsylvania.
“I think I’m going to try doing a rally on Saturday night. If we have enough time to put it together,” he said. “But we want to do a rally in Florida probably on Saturday night. Might come back and do one in Pennsylvania the following night.”
Trump again cleared his voice several times as he talked his supporters using absentee ballots. “I want them to vote, absentee is ok,” he says, clearing his throat.

He appeared on Fox News Thursday morning as well in a conversation with Maria Bartiromo. In a long, rambling interview, Trump alleged that former President Barack Obama and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should be indicted and prosecuted for “crimes” related to the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
About his return to the White House from Walter Reed, he told Bartiromo: “I’m back because I am a perfect physical specimen, and I’m extremely young. And so I’m lucky in that way.”
