Trump campaign fuming over Fox News calling Arizona for Biden
Fox declared Biden the projected winner in Arizona and reportedly angered Trump
Donald Trump’s camp was not excited to hear Fox News say Joe Biden won Arizona.
The President’s favorite news channel called the state for Biden before other networks with just 73 % of votes in. Around 11 p.m., they declared at that point there was no way that Trump would surpass the former vice president according to The Washington Post.
“I’m sorry,” decision-desk director Arnon Mishkin said to Fox anchor Bret Baier on air because they were getting so many complaints, “the president is not going to be able to take over and win enough votes to eliminate that seven-point lead that the former vice president has.” The White House was in denial, but Mishkin stood firm. “I’m sorry we’re not wrong in this particular case.”

This is the first time Arizona has voted blue in 24 years. The state has been supporting Republican candidates since 1996 and was the first state to flip the 2020 race, per AZ Central.
Former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders claimed the network made the decision too early last night and labeled it, a “premature call.” At around 2 a.m., Trump made a speech about Arizona despite the decision.
“Arizona, we have a lot of life in that, and somebody said — somebody declared it was a victory for — and maybe it will be, I mean, that’s possible,” he said. “But certainly there were a lot of votes out there that we could get because we’re now just coming into what they call Trump territory.”
Although Biden won the state, he has not officially won the race. According to NBC News, the remaining swing states are divided between the two candidates. Millions of votes are yet to be counted despite the president’s claim he won the election.
