In a new interview, a member of Jeremih’s management team gave an update on the singer’s battle with COVID-19.
Adam Smith told The Kenny Burns Show the singer is “still ill; he is still in the hospital. He’s not out of the dark yet. He’s stable. He still has a way to go before anything.”
“He’s still in ICU right now,” Smith reiterated.
Smith said fellow Chicago native Chance the Rapper has been “super helpful” and noted Sean “Diddy” Combs had reached out to their team and connected them with medical professionals at UCLA. He said those physicians are providing some insight, are advising the hospital and passing on information.

“50 is the homie,” said Smith. “J has a lot of love for 50, but 50 can be insensitive.”
He noted that “J really wants the prayers. Stop, drop and really pray. Pray for his strength, pray for his healing, pray for his family.”
A number of celebrities also sought prayers for the singer/songwriter, including Big Sean, who collaborated with Jeremih and Chance the Rapper on the song “Living Single.” Sean shared this message on Twitter: “Prayers up, praying for your strength @Jeremih.”
