Lil Nas X accuses internet trolls of ‘sexualizing’ gay men

Lil Nas X posted on social media that James Charles would be doing his makeup

Lil Nas X is the first openly gay Black male rapper to maintain his mega-success even after coming out of the closet. Now the internet savvy emcee is using his platform to clap back at critics who he believes are “sexualizing” his new collaboration with YouTuber James Charles.

Tuesday, Lil Nas X posted on social media that he would be getting his makeup done by Charles in a new video and immediately the 21-year-old duo was bombarded with derogatory comments about their sexuality.

“DOING @LILNASX ‘S MAKEUP IS NOW LIVE! This collab was genuinely so much fun to film, I hope you guys love it!” Charles wrote in his own promo post.

“I just know they f—ed after this,” one of the comments read under a repost by PopCrave.

Apparently, the rapper saw the nastiness in the comments section and responded himself by clarifying, “2 gay men can do things together without y’all sexualizing it.”

This has already been a week of clapbacks for the entertainer who on Monday had to defend himself after Angela Stanton-King, a failed Republican congressional candidate from Georgia, criticized a promo photo for his new single “Holiday.”

“So this is what black culture is pushing to our youth now?” Stanton-King, 43, tweeted in response to the promo image that shows a shirtless Lil Nas X leaning in closely to kiss a clone of himself. “Sex with everything and everyone including yourself? Is lil nas x tonguing himself down?”

Without skipping a beat Lil Nas X wrote back, “just say ur turned on and go.”
