Kayla Nicole to merge mental and physical health through her fitness brand

Having experienced the highs and lows of mental health, Kayla Nicole shares the importance of physical and mental fitness.

Just as Kayla Nicole loves a good workout, the influencer, known to many as the ex-girlfriend of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, loves a great therapy session. Hence, she’s relaunching her fitness brand, Tribe Therepe

“It’s one thing to be physically fit,” Nicole told People magazine, “But it’s another thing to be mentally fit.”

Recently, Nicole became the hottest topic on the social media streets when rumors of a romance between Kelce and Taylor Swift arose this month. Swift’s presence at numerous Kansas City Chiefs games not only sparked romantic speculation but also interest in the NFL player’s dating history. The newfound fascination with his dating life made Nicole the subject of harassment and unwarranted hate comments on social media.

While the influencer already addressed the drama in a recent Instagram video, she’s taking her proclaimed mission to uplift women a step further with her fitness brand. Prioritizing “feel-good fitness,” Tribe Therepe is deeply inspired by Nicole’s own fitness journey. She revealed that although working out has “saved [her] life on numerous occasions,” it wasn’t a quick fix for recovering from her breakup with Kelce.

“It was like I was working out, I was in really great shape, but I felt like sh**, and I was sad, and I was having a hard time getting out of bed. It got to the point where I was like, ‘Okay, what else can I possibly do?’ So, I started to go to therapy,” she added, per People. “Just full transparency, I went through this major breakup, major life change, and I had lost a substantial amount of weight within a very short amount of time. I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating. I was really abusing melatonin to sleep at night.”

It was only when Nicole started attending therapy that she realized “you could be in the best shape of your life, but mentally, if you are not a healthy person, it’s not going to feel good.” She’s pouring her newfound knowledge into Tribe Therepe’s next chapter.

“It’s focusing on the mental health component of working out […] and really just encouraging people to mentally take care of themselves,” said Nicole. “I think that when your mind is in a healthy place, your body will follow.”

Understanding that therapy might be a financial luxury, Tribe Therepe hopes to provide free mental health resources for those who cannot afford it.
