New details emerge from actor Jonathan Majors’ criminal case

A 2022 London police report is now a part of Majors' domestic violence case, and it references medical care obtained then by his accuser.

New details have emerged from the criminal case of actor Jonathan Majors. According to Variety, prosecutors have obtained details from an unpublicized incident involving London police that they believe to be relevant to the domestic violence allegations he faces.

Variety obtained the new 115-page filing from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, in which prosecutors reveal they are seeking to obtain a copy of a London Metropolitan Police report. The exact details it contains are unclear in the filing, but it reportedly references medical care obtained by Grace Jabbari, Majors’ former girlfriend and accuser, in September 2022. Majors was reportedly in London then, filming Season Two of the Disney+ Marvel series “Loki,” and Jabbari is a United Kingdom citizen.

This news, as Variety points out, came just days before Majors was set to return to court after many delays.

As theGrio previously reported, the “Ant-Man” actor was involved earlier this year in a domestic dispute with Jabbari in Manhattan, leading to an arrest on charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, harassment and strangulation. The charge of strangulation eventually was dropped, with Majors still facing the four other charges. Since his arrest, Majors lost both his management and PR firm, but as of today is still represented by WME.

The new filing also alleges that Majors’ legal team has purposefully misrepresented and leaked court information, including attempting to have “police create a wanted poster with Jabbari’s photo.” It also addresses the recent reports that the DA planned to prosecute Jabbari for domestic violence, dismissing the idea.

In addition, details describe the incident that led to Majors’ arrest in March: While taking a car service from a party in Brooklyn to their apartment in Chelsea, Jabbari allegedly saw a text on his phone that read, “Wish I was kissing you right now.” According to the filing, after she took the phone from Majors’ hands to see who sent it, the actor allegedly “began grabbing the right side of Ms. Jabbari’s body and prying Ms. Jabbari’s right middle finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.”

It also chronicles how, once his phone was retrieved, Majors reportedly exited the vehicle, and Jabbari tried to follow him. Then, he allegedly “grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her back inside” the car, with Jabbari sustaining “substantial pain, including a fractured finger, bruising about her body, a laceration behind her right ear, and a bump on her head.”

Majors’ defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has maintained her client’s innocence, referring to the case as a “witch hunt” against the “Lovecraft Country” actor — and even painting Jabbari as a liar and the aggressor.

Majors has pleaded not guilty to the four charges against him.
