Gerren Keith Gaynor is the White House Correspondent and Managing Editor of Politics at theGrio, based in Washington, DC. As a member of the White House press corps and presidential press pool, he provides essential on-the-ground reporting for Black and LGBTQ+ communities. His leadership was instrumental in theGrio becoming the first Black-owned digital news outlet to secure a seat in the White House press briefing room.

Since 2021, Gerren has covered two presidential administrations, with a career highlight being his interview of Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 election cycle. As a Black, queer journalist, he is dedicated to bringing visibility to political spaces where diversity has historically been lacking. His expertise is frequently sought after by major networks, including CNN, MSNBC, Cheddar TV, Revolt News, and Fox Soul.

Gerren's impactful work has earned him numerous accolades, including being named one of Forbes’ "10 Black LGBTQ+ Figures And Activists to Know" and a "Power 50" honoree by the Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA). He is also a two-time "Native Son 101" honoree and recipient of the "James Baldwin Storyteller Award.”
