The lawsuit, filed by conservative groups, is part of a growing number of cases advocates say is a modern attack on affirmative action, following the Supreme Court’s ruling in the practice used in college admissions. Film director Tonya Lewis Lee’s documentary “Aftershock” highlights the issue of Black maternal health.
