It takes a truly outlandish statement to take the prize for hyperbole at an event featuring South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint. Former Colorado Congressman and presidential candidate Tom Tancredo, however, was up to the task Thursday at an event for Colorado Senate candidate Ken Buck.
Tancredo, long a favorite of conservative Republicans, sought to reinforce to Buck supporters the importance of their efforts by arguing that President Obama constitutes a greater threat to the American way of life than any foreign enemy the U.S. has faced.
