A burglar in Southern California had just broken in through an unlocked door when he accidentally identified himself by taking a selfie on a stolen iPhone.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the burglar took the selfie after opening an app on the iPhone.
In the video recorded by accident, the burglar, wearing a black hat and hood, seems to peer into the camera before realizing what has happened and shutting it off, reports NBC Los Angeles.
The burglar then left with the phone, all while three people were sleeping in bedrooms nearby.
