A seemingly harmless selfie post from Nicki Minaj wasn’t so harmless to some of her nearly 44 million followers on Instagram.
Apparently, some users didn’t appreciate the fact Minaj’s older brother Jelani was included in the photo. Some three weeks ago, Jelani Maraj was charged with raping a 12-year-old.
Nicki reportedly posted her brother’s $100,000 bond and he was released.
The photo, which the rapper captioned, “Bowling con mi familia,” was posted on New Year’s Eve.
Some interpreted the photo as Minaj “supporting” an accused rapist – while others countered “there’s nothing people can do to make [Minaj] stop loving her brother.”
