Father leaves 9-month-old baby in the car parking lot to get lap dance at strip club

A California father who left his 9-month-old baby in the car in order to go to a strip club is now facing charges of child abuse.

Synn Gentleman’s Club assistant manager Matthew Nadeau told the Los Angeles Times that his suspicions were aroused when he saw that 24-year-old Auwin Dargin kept leaving and reentering the club every 15 minutes. Nadeau investigated the strange behavior and found a child crying inside a car at around 2 p.m.

Along with employees from a next door business, Nadeau worked to get the child out of the car by unlocking the door using a small gap in the window. When they were able to get the girl free, a waitress got water for her, as she was warm and looked to be upset.

Nadeau then found his manager and reported what had happened, and the manager tracked down the girl’s father in the middle of a lap dance.

Dargin reportedly then told them, “Just give me my baby and I know I am messing up.”

But when Nadeau refused to hand over the child, Dargin fled the strip club and was arrested as he was leaving.
