A Florida man went to a strip club to get his mind off of the murder he had just committed, police say.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Rodney Chavers, 41, killed Tarrie Wilder, 42, in Riviera Beach Sunday night, shortly before arriving at the Sugar Daddy’s Gentlemen Club. He handed off his gun to a friend but then got into a fight at the club and was thrown out for bringing a weapon.

After the fight, a group of men offered him a ride home. Chavers took them up on their offer, however at some point during the ride home, he drew his gun and told the others in the car that he had killed a man after he punched him in the face.

The terrified driver then pulled into a gas station, and Chavers fell asleep.

The police found him the next morning, still asleep, with the pistol in his lap. The gun was a match for the weapon used to killed Wilder. Chavers was charged with second-degree murder.
