Police are on the hunt for a man who sucker-punched and killed a 64-year-old pedestrian and then bragged on social media about what he had done.

“I had to bring him back down off of that cloud he was sittin’ on,” Mathew Smith wrote on Facebook. “I garrantee (sic) you before he opens his mouth next time he’ll think about it.”

The man who was attacked, Patrick Gorman, was allegedly targeted because he bumped into Smith’s wife, Elena Makarova.

“Dude thought it was ok to disrespect wifey while on the bus thinkin’ nobody was gonna pop up. Not gonna go into details but I had to smack’em to sleep,” Smith wrote online.

The incident happened over five months ago, but footage was released by police only this week. Now, police are looking for Smith, who seems to have disappeared with his wife.

“I’m so glad there’s so many people with my name on this s***. Do not look for me at all. Lol,” Smith posted online, hinting at his intentions to go into hiding.

Gorman’s family is criticizing the timing of the release of the video.

“The video could have been released the last week in June or the first week in July,” said Bryan Gorman, the victim’s brother. “Between the time it happened and last week, it seemed like there really wasn’t much being done on it.”
