Victoria’s Secret has fired an employee that kicked all black customers out of an Alabama store after a shoplifting incident.

The entire incident was caught on Facebook Live video by Kimberly N. Houzah as it happened at the Quintard Mall in Oxford, Alabama.

Houzah says that after employees caught one black customer shoplifting, management told all remaining black customers to get out. In her video, you can see her crying as she leaves the store.

The company made a statement on their Facebook page stating that the incident does not in any way represent what the company stands for. They also claimed to have reached out to Houzah personally to apologize.

“We take the experience of our customer at the Quintard mall very seriously and have reached out to her directly to express our sincere apology,” the company wrote. “What happened at our store should not have happened and does not represent who we are or what we stand for. The store associate involved in this matter is no longer employed with the company. Victoria’s Secret is adamant that all customers regardless of race be treated with dignity and respect at all times.”

Houzah did return to the store since the altercation and said she did, in fact, get an apology from the employees.

“I’m a little more settled about it today,” Houzah said. “I don’t want anything bad to happen to anyone. I mean, I can’t change who I am. I’m an African-American female and I just want to be treated like everybody else.”

She also said that while she plans to continue shopping at Victoria’s Secret she may not go back to the Quintard Mall location.
