When Jamie Foxx got the call for Sleepless, he didn’t hesitate.
“It’s always great to see people do action,” Foxx told theGrio.com’s Jon Kelley at a junket for his new action thriller. “A while back, doing Django when we got a chance to do some cool action with (director) Quentin Tarantino. It’s like, man, [action movies] are always fun.”
But Foxx is playing it coy about if he could step into the role of James Bond.
“I don’t know about all that,” Foxx joked.
How about black Superman? “Blacker Man,” Foxx quipped. “The adventures of Blacker Man.”
We likely won’t see that character hit the theaters anytime soon, but in Sleepless, Foxx plays a corrupt police detective whose son is kidnapped.
