TV One is standing its ground on its Bobbi Kristina Brown biopic, despite a lawsuit filed against it by famous dad Bobby Brown.

TV One is standing its ground on its Bobbi Kristina Brown biopic, despite a lawsuit filed against it by famous dad Bobby Brown.

Brown is reportedly suing for libel and slander and asking for $1 million in damages because he claims that the movie damages him by showing him being violent toward late wife Whitney Houston.

But TV One isn’t backing down, according to theJasmineBrand.com, saying in response, “We are aware of the reported legal challenge by Bobby Brown regarding the film Bobbi Kristina and are taking appropriate steps on behalf of our network to respond. While we are not able to address our legal response at this time, we stand by the film and its representation of this period in Bobbi Kristina’s life.”

The biopic is set to air on TV One on Oct. 8.
