Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

NeNe Leakes has been dropped from the Xscape tour because of a comment she made to a heckler during a stand-up comedy show.

During the show, Leakes joked about male Uber drivers trying to have sex with their female passengers, and the audience didn’t receive it well. When her listeners began to boo, Leakes grew agitated and singled out one woman in particular for her ire, saying that she hoped the woman was raped by her Uber driver on her way home from the show.

While Leakes has since apologized, the Xscape tour announced that she would no longer be hosting the event, wishing her well as she “navigates this very difficult period.” They also said that they had made the decision because they wanted to stand by women and to show other rape survivors that they had their support.

“This tour is for and about our fans and we want to provide an entertaining and enjoyable experience for every single person who attends,” Xscape said in a statement released on Thursday morning.

Leakes has since issued an apology for her words and admitted to being a victim of abuse herself. She also recently posted a video of herself crying over the controversy as her makeup artist talks with her about it. Apparently, the remarks were made to a woman who had told her to kill herself during the show.
