On Tuesday, Williams appeared to be disoriented and struggled to read from the teleprompter. Dressed in her Halloween costume as the Statue of Liberty, the talk show host looked terrified for a moment before she simply collapsed.
There was a long commercial break before the show returned with Williams telling her audience, “That was not a stunt. I’m overheated in my costume and I did pass out. But you know what? I’m a champ and I’m back.”

Williams finished out the show, though before it ended, she asked, “Is that the end of the show? Was I passed out that long?!”
Now, according to Page Six, Williams’ staff is worried about her health, especially in the wake of reports that her husband, Kevin Hunter, has been cheating on her.
An insider said of Williams, “Wendy has become very thin recently, and the show staff wonders if she is under a lot of personal stress.”

Officially, though, Williams’ rep, Ronn Torossian, has responded to the incident with this statement: “Ms. Williams fainted on-air this morning. She is dehydrated and is on her way home for a good day and night of sleep. She has been examined by medical professionals and is well. She is OK, and will continue shows as planned. She will address this on-air tomorrow.”
“She has never missed a day of work,” he added.
